Ready For the Next Chapter

Tonight, I'm writing a little on the tired side, we've had a crazy last couple of days!  But, I wanted to write quickly, and say that tomorrow morning we will be having the first of two surgeries that I'll be going through.  They are minor, and require no hospital stay after they are over, but they are incredibly vital to the IVF process.

We are so incredibly grateful and excited that we have made it this far, after having a cancelled cycle the last time, it's a little bit crazy to think that if all goes well, we will actually be parents!  What a huge change!  But you know what?  I think I'm about as ready as any 'over thinker' can be about it, and I've gotta say, for every little thing that I am nervous about, I am so excited for about a million other things!

Tonight, I was looking at this bottle full of needles, and I can't believe that each one was a 'poke' for me.  I'll be turning this in to the doctor so they can toss it away, but as I stared at it, I thought, 'I didn't think I would EVER be able to give myself a shot, let alone, that many!'.  You see, a little known trick is that when you have to do something, well, you just do it, whether you're scared to death or not!  I don't know how courageous that is, but, when I had to choose between a poke or, no baby, well, the poke won out ;)

This bottle proves to me that I can do hard things!  And that with each shot, I became a little stronger, and more confident in my abilities, and, much more hopeful with each one, as the days wore on, and I kept getting cleared to continue.

We aren't out of the woods yet, there's still a lot that can happen between now and a pregnancy test, but we're on the right path, and I can literally feel God wrapping his loving arms around both, my husband and I.  Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your love and support, we so appreciate it, and we are excited to see what tomorrow holds!

Go out and do something that you thought was impossible for you, you may surprise yourself with how confident and comfortable you feel when you continue in it.  <3
